Maybe you’ve read a little bit about me...and hopefully you’re intrigued.

Site Analysis

Do you want to walk a property and talk about feasibility or site options? Do you want someone to study a survey for site potential? Maybe you simply want to spend time on your property and brainstorm, or even daydream, about the opportunities available to you on your property. I’m happy to to do any of the above.

Project Team Establishment

Do you already have an architect engaged? If so, I’m happy to jump right onto the project team. If not, I can recommend to you some very talented architects. Landscape architects? Interior designers? Engineers? I can put you in touch with them too, to help surround you with visionaries, advocates and stalwarts.

Design Process Observation

I often attend, sit humbly and quietly and intently listen during design meetings, learning more about you, your family and its story and how this project might write the next chapter of your lives. I’m simply there to support you and the rest of the design team in any way necessary.

Schematic Design Pricing

After initial design ideas and ink flow to paper, creating what are called schematic designs, I will thoroughly create a detailed project budget to assist you in making additional design or scope decisions. From excavation to framing to cabinetry to mailbox or house numbers, my budget will be comprehensive and meticulous. After all, “bad data in, bad data out”.

Coordination & Quality Control

Once the first shovel meets dirts, my primary roles become the coordination of all goods and services required to build your home as well as overseeing the implementation and quality thereof. I hand select a few projects at a time on which to work enabling me to focus enormous amounts of time and energy on the execution of your design. Why might you see me sweeping at your house? Well, what better way to see the minutiae than by spending time in every nook and cranny of your house? Whether it is spoken by clients or even trade partners, I often hear how positive and rare it is to have the builder on site….to direct, to clarify, to assist, to encourage, foster and pursue excellence.

Expense Tracking & Reporting

By the time construction begins, that original schematic budget previously provided has likely been tooled and shaped to create our working budget, our baseline. While I could hire a bookkeeper to input and maintain the project books, I do it myself. I am aware of every penny spent on your project. I am very skilled with Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel, enabling me to closely track project expenses and report the progress back to you.

Scheduling, Assessing Impacts & Projecting

I employ Gantt chart style project schedules to assist me in organizing a project. I find it very common for a project’s schedule to turn on a dime and I pride myself on being nimble and proactive to mitigate and communicate any potential delays to a project timeline.

Communication

Every successful project of mine shares open, honest, frequent, clear and respectful communication. From me to you, from me to designers and trade partners and vendors. There will undoubtedly be both successful milestones and challenging obstacles and excitement and disappointment throughout the construction process. No house is perfect, no process is perfect. We are a team of humble but masterful professionals committed to excellence, including consistent constant and level headed communication.

The proof will be in the pudding.

Let’s create your spectacular project together.
